Nook & the Underlings is a little story concept in its early stages, about a world where goblins, ghouls and other monsters have been banished to the outskirts of a fantastical kingdom in the wake of a great war. But as Nook and his new friends discover, goodness isn’t confined to a region or a people. Anyone can do the right thing!
Nook:
Nook, the titular goblin who finds himself in possession of a royal mail satchel and decides to make the deliveries himself. He’s the kind of plucky little hero you can’t help rooting for.
Group:
Little group sketch of Nook and the band of misfits he gathers along his journey.
Blobcube:
I am an absolute sucker for gelatinous cubes, and wanted to take a crack at making one that could evoke an “aww” from people.
Skeleton:
A classic minion-style animated skeleton who’s trying to figure out who he is, or perhaps who the owner of his bones used to be.
Bugbear:
A gruff bugbear with a soft spot for the culinary arts. More than just the muscle of the team.
Wyvern:
This little project made me realize how much I absolutely love wyverns. I could sketch em all day. This one is an outcast from her brood, hoping to make a name for herself as a scourge of the skies to be accepted back as a legendary dragon.
